20A Current Sensor Module Based on ACS712
= High-Accuracy Hall Effect Sensor for AC/DC Measurement =
The ACS712 20A current sensor module enables accurate current measurement for both AC and DC circuits using the Hall effect principle. It is ideal for monitoring motor currents, battery loads, and over-current protection in Arduino and other microcontroller projects .
±20A Bidirectional Measurement - Measures both the magnitude and direction of current flow
100mV/A Sensitivity & 5V Operation - Analog output voltage increases by 100mV for every amp of current, with 2.5V output at zero current
Supply voltage: 4.5V to 5.5V DC ; Output at zero current: VCC/2 (approx. 2.5V) ; Sensitivity: 100mV/A
For Arduino, connect VCC to 5V, GND to GND, and OUT to an analog pin (e.g., A0). Use analogRead() to get the value and calculate the current .
The sensor is based on the Hall effect and is sensitive to external magnetic fields. Keep it away from magnets or large currents to avoid interference .
