The LJ12A34Z/BX is a cylindrical proximity sensor that detects metal objects without physical contact. When a ferrous metal enters its detection zone, the internal magnetic field changes, causing the sensor to output a signal . It can also detect non-ferrous metals like copper or aluminum but at a reduced distance .

Output Type: NPN normally open (NO). Output is LOW (0V) when idle, HIGH when detecting metal.

Use with Arduino, ESP32, or PLC for automation, 3D printer auto-leveling, and CNC limit switches .
This sensor operates at 6-36V, which can damage a 5V microcontroller pin. A voltage divider is necessary when connecting to Arduino or similar 5V logic boards .
