= Troubleshooting =

Module not communicating:

  • Verify 3.3V power supply and GND connections
  • Check TX/RX crossover (sensor TX to host RX, sensor RX to host TX)
  • Ensure baud rate matches default 57600 (or 9600)

No fingerprint detection:

  • Clean sensor surface
  • Check if wakeup pin indicates finger presence
  • For 5V systems, add logic-level converter
