The TEC1-12707 is a thermoelectric cooler (Peltier) module that uses the Peltier effect to create a temperature differential when powered by DC current . With 127 semiconductor couples in a 40x40mm footprint, it offers higher power than the 12705 while being more moderate than the 12715 .

= Important Usage Guide =
Always mount a heatsink on the hot side before applying power. Without adequate heat removal, the module will overheat and may be permanently damaged.
For maximum efficiency:
- Use thermal paste between surfaces
- Ensure heatsink has adequate airflow
- Consider multiple modules for higher cooling capacity
Recommended voltage: 12V DC for typical operation; 15.4V for maximum performance
Do not exceed Imax or Vmax ratings
For moisture-sensitive applications, apply additional silicone sealing
= Troubleshooting =
Module heats up but doesn't cool effectively:
- Ensure the hot side has adequate heatsinking and airflow
- Check polarity - reversing power swaps hot/cold sides
- Verify power supply meets the current requirement (minimum 7A)
