12V 80-220°C PTC Heater Heating Element
= Self-Regulating Heater for Hairdryers, Curlers, and Poultry Incubators =
This PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) heating element is a self-regulating heater designed for applications requiring 80°C to 220°C surface temperatures. PTC elements automatically reduce power as temperature rises, preventing overheating and simplifying temperature control circuits.
SelfRegulating Technology Automatically maintains constant temperature without external controls
Wide Temperature Range - Supports 80°C, 120°C, or 220°C surface temperature options
Operating voltage: 12V AC/DC with typical power up to 50W
For incubator use, combine with a fan for uniform heat distribution
Do not immerse in water and avoid touching the heating surface when hot

= Installation and Usage Tips =
For optimum performance:
- Use a fan or airflow to achieve maximum heating efficiency
- Expected hot air temperature at outlet: 50-60°C with 3.3 m/s airflow
- Initial power draw may briefly spike to 1.5-3x rated power before stabilizing
Allow short break-in period for new elements
Use with a thermostat for precise poultry incubation temperatures (37.5-38.5°C)
The first use may produce a small amount of smoke (normal and temporary)
= Troubleshooting =
No heat:
- Check 12V power supply and connections
- Verify voltage matches rated spec
- Avoid using damaged element
Low heat output:
- Ensure sufficient air flow for convection heating
- Clean surface of dust or debris
- Check power supply current capability
