Transmitter (TX) wiring:

  • VCC → 5V or up to 12V for extended range
  • GND → Ground
  • DATA → Arduino digital pin

Receiver (RX) wiring:

  • VCC → 5V only
  • GND → Ground
  • DATA → Arduino digital pin (interrupt-capable recommended)
Add a 17.3cm quarter-wave antenna for best range at 433MHz
Use a straight wire as antenna for improved performance
Do not exceed 12V on the transmitter
Receiver is 5V only - using higher voltage may damage it

= Troubleshooting =

No signal received:

  • Check power supply voltage for both modules
  • Verify DATA connections
  • Try different baud rate or protocol
  • Ensure antenna is attached

Short range:

  • Add a 17.3cm antenna wire to transmitter
  • Check for interference from metal objects
  • Use higher voltage on transmitter (9V-12V)
