The MQ2 gas sensor module is a lowcost, semiconductor-based device designed for detecting combustible gases including LPG, propane, hydrogen, methane, and smoke. It is widely used in gas leak alarms, fire/smoke detectors, and air quality monitoring systems .

MultiGas Detection Sensitive to LPG, propane, hydrogen, methane, and smoke with detection range of 300-10,000 ppm .
Simple Interface - Provides both analog and digital output signals for easy integration with microcontrollers .
Operating voltage is 5V DC, with heater power consumption of ~750-900mW .
For stable readings, allow the sensor to preheat for several minutes .
The sensor requires calibration in clean air to establish the baseline R0 value for accurate ppm estimation .
