The VL53L1X is a stateoftheart TimeofFlight (ToF) laserranging sensor based on ST's FlightSense technology, capable of measuring distances up to 4 meters with a fast 50Hz update rate . Unlike traditional IR sensors, its absolute distance measurement is unaffected by the target's color or reflectance .
