The D1 Mini is a miniature WiFi development board based on the ESP8266 ESP12F module, packing a Tensilica L106 32bit RISC processor, 4MB flash, and integrated 2.4GHz WiFi into a tiny 34.2×25.6mm PCB. Its breadboard-friendly form factor and shield ecosystem make it a popular choice for DIY IoT projects like smart switches, sensors, and robotics.

Compact ESP8266 Board - Small footprint with 80/160MHz CPU and 4MB flash for versatile projects
ArduinoCompatible Programmable via Arduino IDE, MicroPython, and NodeMCU
Power via Micro-USB (5V) or through the 5V pin. All GPIO pins operate at 3.3V logic.
The onboard CH340 USBtoserial chip simplifies programming; no external programmer needed.
I/O pins are not 5V tolerant - applying 5V to GPIO pins will permanently damage the board.
